The next steps forward for Israel, the war in Lebanon.

The U.N. Security Council said it would meet on Wednesday to discuss the conflict in Lebanon. More on this latter.

According to many nations, a new offensive against Hezbollah has stoked fears that conflict between Israel and the terrorist Palestinian group Hamas in Gaza is widening and could destabilize the Middle East.

Lebanon is at the brink. The people of Lebanon, Israel and the people of the world cannot afford Lebanon to become another Gaza, U.N. Secretary General Antonio Guterres said.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said the attacks had weakened Hezbollah and would continue. Hezbollah has suffered a sequence of blows to its command and control, its fighters, and their ability or means to fight. These are all severe blows, he told Israeli troops.

This might be true but seen mostly as a small dent in Hezbollah’s armor. Though, at this time Hezbollah is disorganized it’s far from finished. They have said we will continue fighting.

Hezbollah needs to regroup, needs to come up with a plan and hope Iran goes along with it, whatever this plan will or might be, as no one really know what their next move might be.

Hezbollah has a much more powerful swarm of terrorists then Hamas and could do greater damage to Israel then Hamas, but does it want to go there knowing they could start and all out national war, or wars?

Or is it Iran what will determine the way forward?

If it’s Iran that dictates the next moves might there be a want to put all that is happing now, on hold, as it sounds like Iran wants a nuclear agreement with the US in a hope sanction will be lifted, this, of course would be to Iran ‘s benefit. Or does it allow Hezbollah to continue launching missiles.

The point: if there is a time of a lull which Iran could bring about by wanting to continue talks with the US, this would play right in to scripture. During this lull might Israel be saying peace and safety?

1 Thessalonians 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

KJV,

Only one of many possible outcomes.
