Israel is willing to give up its sovereignty at least part of it. The possibility of a pact made with Saudi Arabia and the US in an attempt to normalize with Riyadh will give up its control to wage war with Iran, leaving Israel's control to the US.
To remember what happened when Moses led the Israelis into their land, ten of the leaders of the twelve tribes came back after exploring the land saying it’s too dangerous and were afraid to enter the land. This in turn angered God because of their lack of trust in Him.
Agreeing to this defense treaty is a great insult to their God.
A general consensus with the US and Saudi Arabia a Palestinian two-state is the only way to bring in everlasting peace in Israel. This is enforced by the PA, Mahmoud Abbas (leader of the West Bank) and he is largely argued to be part of the deal, even though it would be hard to get Netanyahu and his far right to agree with this proposal.
Keeping in mind, actively engaged in brokering a two-state deal is also being led by Egypt and Jordan as part of the normalization deal. Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Salman calling this two-state a very important step. Other steps to include a resolution, to end Israel’s military rule of the West Bank, East Jerusalem as its capital, returning to the 1967 boarder lines along with the birth of a fully independent Palestinian State. All of this is huge.

i believe we are at the end; Israel's leaders trying to avoid a war, negotiating with the enemy; do we even 'know' if they are calling on the Lord God Almighty to help them?? is there anyone in Israel who is standing up against the leaders to challenge them to trust in their God? to call on His Name?? do we have a Joshua? a David?? only our God knows.

True analysis, Ross...so right on all counts...Satan knows his days are numbered....based on scripture, today's events are a repeat of the Jews' long past in failing to trust God....it's also a good reminder for me to trust God and not try to understand everything as God knows what is best for me.
