We must use scripture to interpret scripture, Here is what most are not seeing. Note; the last trump.  Now
1 Corinthians15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
The trumpet sound was ordained by God as a voice to the people of God in the will of God for Israel in calling Israel together as one nation. The silver trumpets were alluding to the salvation redemption voice of Jesus in the last days for the gathering together of the church as one body.

1 Corinthians 14:7-8
7 And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped?
8 For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?

Again a separate trumpet for different callings. Note; God's trumpet

1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Note, the trump of God.
So clearly you can see it is not the trumpets of the angles as in the pouring out of God's wrath. A completely different calling and time. 
The last time God uses His sound of His trumpet as a call to His people, and yes this means Gentiles in this last call.
