Daniel 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Here we see the timing of the last seven years broken into two 3 ½ year time frames. It all starts with a covenant a agreement of some sort and it being confirmed. As a seven year promise not kept as Satan enters the Jew’s newly built temple in the middle of the 7 years and desecrates it stopping all sacrificing. And this will all happen even up to the end.
